Welcome to what I guess will be blog post #1 of Knox's Artillery Regiment. The intent for this space will be for us to share with you the most recent happenings when it comes to our group. As you probably know already from visiting here we are a brand new reenacting group forming just outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

Hurdles. When it comes to forming a new group there are many hurdles to jump, what unit to form an impression around, who, what, where, when, why? How to attract members, who will make clothing and equipment, what type of events will we intend, how to obtain insurance. The list is endless! One thing however that hasn't been as difficult as I imagined was the research, we have been lucky to get guidance from great living historians. Additionally we have obtained many primary sources, from clothing receipts, equipment returns, letters and journals. All these add up to making a great foundation of information of which to base our founding decisions upon, and it is all very exciting! Stay tuned for more information as we get through the holidays and into the new year and really start focusing to hit the ground running. I will be posting more shortly! -OB
